Debunked: AI images appear to show Jeffrey Epstein with Beyoncé and a topless Trump

Some AI companies mark their creations with digital watermarks.

NEW IMAGES CREATED by AI image generators appear to show the now-deceased sex predator Jeffrey Epstein with the pop singer Beyoncé and US President Donald Trump.

In both pictures, Trump is topless.

While there are documented links between Trump and Epstein, including real photos and videos, the recent images featuring Trump topless are fake.

There is no known connection between Epstein and the singer Beyoncé.

Jeffrey Epstein was arrested in July 2019 on charges of sex crimes against children. He died in a prison cell later that year while awaiting trial.

Notes from the investigation into Epstein’s crimes are often called the “Epstein Files”. Some of these have been released, though many have been redacted by the Trump administration, and Trump himself has said that the files were a hoax written by previous Democrat administrations.

In any case, these files are regularly and falsely cited as the source of claims that famous figures were incriminated for their associations with Epstein.

The more recent images show Trump and Epstein, both topless, sitting on what appears to be a private jet as the singer Beyoncé walks down the aisle.

Another image shows Trump and Epstein at a table covered in glasses and bottles of liquor. Epstein, who is wearing a black shirt, is counting money, while Trump, sitting next to him, is topless. Men in suits can be seen talking in the background.

Both these images appeared on social media sites, such as Facebook, on 27 October, along with fake claims that these had been leaked from the Epstein Files.

There are a number of tell-tale signs that these images are AI-generated: the paper money that Epstein counts does not match real US currency; the reflection in a shiny wall on the private jet does not match the layout in front of it; in both photos the lighting and shadows don’t appear to make sense.

However, there is a far bigger tell: both the images have an invisible watermark embedded in them by the AI generators that made them.

Using a detection tool provided by AI companies, a “SynthID” was found on both images. The SynthID is an invisible, digital watermark purposely added by some AI image generators so that their creations can be readily identified.

The Journal has previously debunked a list of political, military and law enforcement leaders that were falsely claimed to be incriminated in the files. The Journal has also debunked fake images purportedly showing Epstein with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

It is unclear what the intentions behind the fake photos are, if any.

Real photos and videos already exist demonstrating Trump’s connections with Epstein. In July 2025, the Wall Street Journal discovered a cryptic birthday letter featuring a drawing of a naked female sent by Trump to Epstein.

Trump denied that it was his, claiming that he did not draw pictures — a claim readily debunked by high-profile auctions of his sketches that were documented in one of Trump’s own autobiographies.

These new AI images are likely to muddy the waters even further.
